Billie Jean Bittenbender 84 of Chattanooga went home to be with the LORD on Wednesday, Apri1 16, 2014. She was born in Detroit, MI and raised in Ringgold, GA. She was a resident of Chattanooga for more than fifty years where she enjoyed nursing for the better part of her life. She was a long time member of Silverdale Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty three years, Arthur L. Bittenbender, parents Mr. and Mrs. W.E Spencer of Ringgold GA and grandson Timothy David Bittenbender. She is survived by one brother Phillip E. Spencer of Ringgold, GA. She was the mother of four children: Beverley Kelley of Cumming, GA; Garry and Tommie Bittenbender of Fort Oglethorpe, GA. Timothy and Debbie Bittenbender of Red Bank, TN. And Tammy and Luke Queen of Chattanooga, TN. Five grandchildren: Garrett, Dee Dee, Amber, Heidi, and Andrew. Three great grandchildren: Justin, Correy, and Olivia. Graveside service will be 1:30 PM Friday April 18, 2014 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
