Doris loved on us from the time we first started attending FBC Lakeview as newlyweds. She'd call Ryan to trim her bushes and then feed us dinner. After she and Larry married, they would sit with us in church and help keep an eye on our three children. She sang "Beautiful Brown Eyes" to Natalie and Wesley, encouraged Benji to sing in the choir, gave Wesley half pieces of gum to help keep him quiet. She showed me how to cut corn off the cob to freeze it, and brightened our lives with her love and spicy attitude.

I'm so-so sad about the passing of one of my favorite cousins. I loved her so much and she always made me feel special. She and my mother were first cousins, but more like sisters.
My heartfelt sympathies to the family. I will miss her and know the family does, too.
