Ondean “Dean”  Butler Bailey, 91, Fort Oglethorpe, passed away August 24, 2015.  Dean was born September 10, 1923 in Crossville, AL.  She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga, North Georgia area and member of Mission Ridge Baptist Church for 25 years.  She retired from Standard Coosa Thatcher in 1985.  Mrs. Bailey was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family.  She is preceded in death by her husband General Augustus Bailey Jr.

Survivors are son, Alfred (Earlene) Bailey; daughters, Margaret Farthing, Frances (Roy) Grimes, and Jean (Craig) Drew; grandchildren, Roy Grimes Jr., Tammy Coffelt, Melissa Thornton, Kimberly Hamilton, Terry Bailey, and Katherine Shaffer; 8 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.  

Funeral services will be 10 AM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ted Verville officiating.
