I bear no malice to Bill for what he did to me during my application to return to S&W but all in all, I did much better in the end. I really enjoyed "jousting" with him in Georgia over the Gas Mask parts bids.

Although I rarely got to see Mr. Orr, I will always remember and cherish the kindness and wisdom he shared with me such as telling me about personally visiting and looking out for an old vendor/friend of GT in the hospital ( that I later discovered was in Europe ), and how he told me that he believes in taking care of all customers and trying to give them the best possible price b/c making a customer for life is much more valuable than trying to make a lot of money off them for only 1 or 2 sales. Although we shared the same philosophy, it reinforced what I knew about GT and the Orr family.

Dear Orr family,

I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. He sounds like a man that touched many hearts and helped many people. I'd like to leave a comforting scripture: Acts 24 verse 15. Here Jesus promises us that one day we will be able to see our loved ones lost in death alive and well again! I hope this helps, and for more comfort or info on my belief visit jw.org.

Sincerely, with best regards, Brandon

Jim and family;

Your dad was a great guy; I know you will miss him. There is a special bond between a father and son that is sometimes hard to understand, but I know he and you did. I lost my father at the age of 87 back in '95. I actually visited with Bill in the store early last year.

I'll never forget that pheasant hunting trip we took to Nebraska on that hog farm, what a great and memorable experience that was! Those yankees from New York were like fish out of water. I swore off pork for a couple of years after that. I'm sure Bill is with the Lord now, so all is well.

Lori, Jim, and Orr family. So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Bill was one tough negotiator but was always fair and understandable and was a joy to work with, as is the family. With GT's influence Winchester was able to penetrate the GA & TX LE market and create an excellent rapport with the LE community. Bill will be missed and sorry to say after my retirement from Winchester did not have the opportunity to see Bill, except at the Shot Show. God Bless, Don & Emma Emde

My prayers are with you all. Bill is one of the great in our LE world. I've known him since a little meeting in Vegas, 1982. They were the first of NAPED. I was the girl not suppose to be there. As most passed on, way to early in their life. Bill was always there for mentoring. He loved to travel. He would pick where NAPED headed, I would follow later to set up. He always found the time for others. May he Rest In Peace until we all meet again. Jim I love psalms 91. Karen

Lori, Dee Dee and Jim,
I'm truly sorry for your loss. Mr. Orr was a tremendous mentor to me for several years. I learned so much from him that just a "Thank you" seems inadequate. I always tell people that in the LE Equipment Business, "Bill Orr wrote the book".
I appreciate the relationship my family enjoyed with your Mom and Dad.

Very sorry for the family's loss. I am honored to have known Mr. Orr. I was thinking about him a few days ago, wondering if he would make it out again this year for opening day of Round Rock dove season. My thoughts and condolences to Mr. Orr's family.

My deepest condolences for your loss and your pain. I did not know William, but came across the news of his passing along with a photo and was shocked by how much he looked like my own grandpa, Rodney Orr from Arkansas. William Orr is in my heart now as a cousin and I wish your family peace.

I got to know Bill when I was moved to TN with Remington in the mid 80's. GT Dist. was one of the first LE Distributors I had ever serviced with Remington. I got to know Bill and the family over the years both as a business partner and personal friend. We spent many a day on the sporting clays field together.
I will always be appriciative of Bill's mentoring of me as a Remington field rep and later LE Director. He was always there for me as well as anyone else that needed his guidance and expertise.
God Bless and comfort Jim, Lori and DeDe and the rest of the family as they lay Bill to rest on Friday. My prayers will be with them all.
Bibles will ber purchased in Bill's name and handed out through our daughters missionary ministry, StandOutMinistries, and given to unreached people groups in the Amazon. Bill will continue to touch peoples lives.

Dear Jim and DeeDee,

I am very sorry to hear about your Father/Father in Law. Please know that you and your family will be in my thoughts. If you need something or someone to talk to...I have gone through a similar experience with my Grandparents while I was going to college. My father and I took care of them for years before they passed and now I am going through a similar with my favorite Aunt. However, I do know that everyone’s experiences vary and my situations isn’t the same as yours. Please know that I am here for you.

Much love,

Jamie, Ruby and Darlin.
