My heartfelt condolences for your loss. Many can relate to what it feels like to be touched by death. What has helped my family to cope were scriptures such as John 5:28,29; Revelation 21:3,4; 1 Peter 5:7. Vernon was one of the finest men we have ever known. Always a smile or a joke and a hand shake. So sorry to hear of his passing. Our heartfelt sympathy for Richie and family.
