Willie Taylor Goldsmith, Jr.

Willie Taylor Goldsmith Jr., 83, of Ringgold passed away at his home surrounded by family Thursday July 12, 2018. He was a resident of North Georgia for the past 40 years, and a member of Calvary Memorial Baptist Church. Willie was retired from the U.S. Army after 23 ½ years of service. He also retired from Walker Correctional Institution after 18 years of service.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Lisa Goldsmith, one sister, and three brothers.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Rebecca Goldsmith, sons Billy (Vicky) Goldsmith, Richee (Paula) Goldsmith, and Curtis (Tiffany) Goldsmith, daughters Pandora (Jim) McDevitt, brother Marty Goldsmith, sisters Mildred Benefield, Debbie Evans, and Bonnie Elkins, ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Eric Greeson officiating, and Jim McDevitt reading the eulogy.
