Tribute

William “Will” Grover Garner, 69, of Ringgold went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 12, 2023. He was born on November 17, 1953 to the late Earl and Ophelia Garner. He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and member of Peavine Baptist Church. He was mechanic by trade and retired from Barloworld after over 25 years of service. Will enjoyed car restoration, carpenter work and woodworking.
 
He was preceded in death by his step-son, Rob Bowling; nephews, Andrew Garner and Corey Garner.
 
Survivors include his loving wife of 14 years, Joyce Garner; step-sons, Chad Capehart and Michael Bowling; step-daughter, Juanita Silvers; brothers, Randy (Vicky) Garner and Anthony (Tina) Garner; sister, Brenda (Ray) Barnes; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and godchildren.
 
The family will receive friends 2-8 PM Sunday and 4-8 PM Monday at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
 
Funeral services will be 2:30 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Steve Wells officiating. Interment will follow at Peavine Baptist Church Cemetery.
