Wendell Scott Cummings

Wendell Scott Cummings, 58, of Fort Oglethorpe passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021. He was born September 7, 1962 in Charleston, South Carolina to the late Larry Wayne and Caroline Midget Cummings DuBose. He served his country as a US Army infantryman. He was of the Christian Faith and member of Salem Baptist Church. Wendell’s grandchildren were the light of his life and more than anything he loved being their grandfather.

He is preceded by his brother, Bryan Cummings.

Survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Lisa Kay Cummings, children, Josh (Kelcey) Cummings, Amanda (Chris) Johnson, Cody Rose, Nathaniel and Caitlin; step mother; Barbara Cummings; siblings, Mary Chris, Jeff and Daniel Cummings; grandchildren, Aubree, Todd, Addilyn, Keely, Kaiden, Wesley and Ansleigh; long time friends, Louis Hamm, Wayne and Rena Honeycutt.

Funeral services will be 11 AM, Friday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Louis Hamm officiating. Interment to follow at Catoosa Memorial Gardens.
