Wayne Adams

Robert Wayne Adams, 92, of Rossville, GA, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, February 24, 2020 at his home.  He was born April 6, 1927 in Charlotte, NC, Mecklenburg County and lived most of his life in the Northwest Georgia area. Wayne was a graduate of Central High School, Chattanooga, TN and was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church for over 50 years. He was a WWII veteran serving in the United States Navy as a Petty Officer in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre. He was a member of VFW Post 3679 and American Legion Post 214, Ft. Oglethorpe, GA. Wayne was also a 50 year member of East Lake Lodge F&AM 698 and Alhambra Shriners. He was retired from the United States Postal Service, and was a past president of the Tennessee Postal Workers Union.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Anderson Adams and Ann Allen Adams.

He is survived by a daughter, Sarah Beth Puckett of Chickamauga, GA and a granddaughter, Katherine Elizabeth Adams of Rossville, GA.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday in the funeral home chapel.

Interment in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
