W G Cordell

W G Cordell of LaFayette passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, age 86.  He was preceded in death by his parents Emmuel G. Cordell and Annie Mae Sisemore Cordell, brother Edwin Cordell.  He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carolyn Watts Cordell, nephews, Kevin (Penny) Cordell and Vernon (Brenda) Cordell of Lafayette.  WG was a member of Community Baptist Church, LaFayette, and was an avid antique car restorer.  He traveled extensively as a long distance truck driver.  He loved the outdoors and nature.

Funeral services will be 1 PM EST Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Malcom Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Dusty Cordell, Kevin Cordell, Vernon Cordell, Steve Coakley, Skylor Bailey and Eddie Sizemore.

The family will receive family and friends 4-8 PM EST Tuesday at Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Oglethorpe, GA on Battlefield Parkway.
