Virginia Jo Joyner

Virginia Josephine Joyner, 90, of Rossville went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 6, 2021. She was born on November 14, 1930 in Chickamauga, Georgia to the late Carl and Pearl Hales. Jo retired from H & R Block and a member at South Seminole Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Bob Slater and Benjamin F. Joyner, Sr.

Jo was a loving Mother and Grandma. She is survived by her children Randy Slater, David Slater, Ben (Amy) Joyner, Jr., Sharon (Ned) Miller and Karen Maxwell; and grandchildren, Brandi Miller, Shane Slater, Kyle Miller, Scott Maxwell, Megan Walker, Stacy Maxwell, Corey Haley, Benjamin Joyner, III, Joey Maxwell, Matthew Slater and Andrew Slater; along with 10 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include two sisters, Joyce Lamb and Judy Johnston.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Drew Tankersley officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
