Tena Nance Swanson

Tena Nance Swanson, 77, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family Monday, January 10, 2022. Tena was born July 8, 1944 in Chickamauga to the late Robert and Sibyl Phillips Nance. She was a lifelong Ringgold resident and attended Graysville United Methodist Church. She was a beautician earlier in life as well as a bookkeeper for Chattanooga Precast. Tena was instrumental in helping her husband Bobby create Bobby Swanson Construction (BSC), to whom her son, Chad is now owner/ operator. More than anything she loved spending time with her family, friends, and all her beloved animals.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years, Bobby Swanson.

Survivors include her children, Lorie (Tim) Eaker and Chad (Angie) Swanson; brothers, Bobby (Kim) Nance and Pryor (Melissa) Nance; sisters, Susan (Tom) Jackson and Robin Allen; grandchildren, Maggie and Bo Swanson, Landon, Abigail, Jilliann and Bently Eaker; sister in laws, Dessie Lou Swanson and Martha Crawford; several nieces and nephews; many special friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to her caregivers, Amber Shahan and Amber Thomas; Crystal with Ardent Senior Care; Jenny Ball with Hearth Hospice; long time physical therapist, Lisa Gray and head nurse, Kim Baker for all their loving care.

Memorial services will be 1 PM, Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Rev. William Swanson officiating. Interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
