Smith, Sarah Mae, 84, of Ringgold, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 29, 2021.
Mrs. Smith was a long-time resident of North Georgia. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
She spent many years in the Service Industry and cherished her customers. She adored the children she served as a Bus Monitor for Catoosa County where she retired shortly before her 80th birthday.
She was a member of Cloud Springs Baptist Church where she enjoyed time as a member of the Friendship Class and The Golden Agers.
She also liked spending time with her friends at Senior Fit. She loved traveling, camping, and attending church events. She treasured her family and time spent with them including school functions, sporting events and celebrating special occasions. She loved Jesus and she shared that love with everyone around her. She always had a smile and a kind word to give.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Vesta Kanaday; sons, Doug Blair and Gary Blair; step-sons, Mark Lewis and Kip Lewis; sister, Mary Estelle Curd; and nephew, Mike Myers.
Survivors include Buster Smith, husband of 37 years; children, Vicki Davis; stepchildren, Tony (Cindy) Lewis and Stephanie (Paul) Thress;
grandchildren, Lindsay Davis, Dustin Davis and Isaac Wiley; great-grandchildren, Addison Watkins, Brooklin Brooks and Nova Kitchen; nieces, Sue (Wayne) Turnipseed and Jamie Miller; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bill Gardner officiating. Interment to follow at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park.
