Ruby Kay

Ruby Lee Kay, 87, of Rock Spring, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 8, 2019. She was born December 27, 1931 to the late Annie Mae Swafford. Ruby was a lifelong resident of Walker County and a member of Peavine Baptist Church in Rock Spring. She was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class.

Ruby was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years Richard Kay, brothers Harold, Houston, and Ray Swafford, sisters Mary Lou Clark and Bessie Pritchett, and son-in-law Joe Morton.

She is survived by daughter Sandra Morton, son Sammy (Diane) Kay, sister Annie Ruth Stoker, grandchildren Heath (Julie) Morton and Jennifer (Davin) Jones, and great-grandchildren Mason Jones, Morgan Jones, Micah Jones, Libby Morton and Charlie Morton.

Graveside services will be held 3 PM Thursday at Rock Spring Cemetery with Rev. Denny Patrick officiating.
