Tribute

Roy Edward McAnally, 85, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away, April 14, 2018 at his home.  Roy was born in Lone Mountain, Tennessee, April 10, 1933.  He retired from the US Army after 26 years, achieving the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4.  Roy served two tours in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star (with Oak Leaf Cluster) and the Air Medal while assigned to the 1st Air Cavalry. Preceding in death are Roy's parents, Charlie and Nellie McAnally, sisters Betty Jarnigan and Pauline Brogan. 

Survived by his wife Janet of 62 years, children Barbara Stock, Joanne Rosenberg, John McAnally; grandchildren William, Benjamin, Kate, Colin, and great granddaughter Hailey. Sisters Fern Long, Helen Davidson, Doll Green, Shirley Collingsworth, Barbara Jones, and Janice Cox; brothers Joe McAnally, James McAnally and Larry McAnally; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday, April 18th at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.
