Romeo "Joe" DiPrima Jr.

Romeo “Joe” DiPrima, 73, of Ringgold passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. He was a life-long resident of the Chattanooga/North Georgia area. Joe served in the U.S. Army. Joe was the proud and successful business owner of DiPrima Tire Distributors which he built from the ground up. He travelled the world many times. He had an admiration and passion to learn how to fly which led him into becoming an experienced pilot. He owned a couple of Cessna’s during his wonderful lifetime. Another passion was boating and restoring old sail boats. Gardening was something Joe and his wife Judy done almost every season. They had a garden in the summer and one in the fall. Always sharing with all of their neighbors. Both Joe and wife Judy were raised in the Catholic Religion and are strong believers in Our Lord Jesus Christ. Joe DiPrima dedicated himself to giving to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital every month for many years.

 Survivors include his loving wife, Judy Lockhart Diprima; son, Romeo Joseph DiPrima “Jr” III; daughters, Teresa Baskette and Stacy Chase; brothers, Danny and John; sister, Rita; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
 
Joe loved life. Joe loved living life to the fullest. Joe loved his life immensely the last several years with who he considered, his true best friend and wife, Judy. “Stand By Me”
 
A memorial service will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday in the funeral home chapel.
