Roberta "Bert" Reed

Roberta “Bert” Reed, 83, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, March 10, 2019. She was born September 7, 1935 to the late Richard and Carrie Blackwell Douglas. She was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and retiree of CSX Transportation. She also was a member of Peavine Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband. Robert J. Reed; brothers, Roy Douglas and Clarence Douglas; sister, Marie Dyer;  grandson, Rob Bowling; great –granddaughter, Trinity Morgan Bowling.
 
Survivors include her daughters, Joyce (Will) Garner and Connie (Philip) Osburn; grandchildren, Michael Bowling, Juanita Silvers and Nicole Taylor; 13 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; god children, Bruce Fine, Janice Perkins, Tom Reed and Debbie McCoy.
 
Funeral services will be 1 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with Chance Silvers , Tom Reed and Cindy Wells officiating. Interment will be at TN/GA Memorial Park.
