Robert "Chris" Whiting

Robert Christopher “Chris” Whiting, 76, of Ringgold passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022. He was born in Duarte, California on November 20, 1945 to the late James and Dora Fay Whiting. Chris was of the Christian faith and a member of the VFW Post 1289. He was retired from Impact Confections after 20 years of service. Chris was an avid fan of professional sports and loved to fish. Chris was also known for his incredible gourmet meals.

He was preceded in death by his brother, George Whiting.

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Janet Whiting; daughters, Brandi (David) Trusley and Debi (Jeff) Augustyn; son, Michael Whiting; brother, Jamie Whiting; sister, Cindy Martinez; grandchildren, Brandon Augustyn, Meghan Trusley, Matthew Trusley and Manning Trusley; along with several nieces and nephews.
