Robert Anderson Thomas Sr.

Robert Anderson Thomas Sr., 89, of Rossville passed away Friday, April 8th, 2022. Robert was born September 30th, 1932 in Chickamauga, GA. He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and of the Baptist Faith. Robert was an honorable man who served in the US Army. He was a retired truck driver with many awards, honors and years of service. Robert was a member of American Legion Post 95. He enjoyed going to baseball games, fishing and whittling.

He is preceded by his loving wife of 57 years, Flora “Dean” Thomas; son, Robert Anderson Thomas Jr.

Survivors include his daughter, Sharon Thomas; grandchildren, Melanie (James) McKenley, Thomas “Andy” Sellers, Brooke Thomas, Erica (Josh) Roberson; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Jacob, Emily McKenley and Shelby Carnes.

Funeral services will be 3 PM, Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Keith McLeod officiating. Interment will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
