I was fortunate to have worked with Dick those 39 years at Candlewick/Dixie Group. Never knew him when he wasn't smiling and making others around him feel better. I have lost a good friend and I will always miss him. He loved his family so much and my heart goes out to them on their loss. Rest in Peace dear Richard.

I am sorry for your loss but know that Richard is with his Savior and is worshiping in perfection. May God's Grace and Mercy strengthen you during this transition and always remember there is a great reunion day a coming! Oh what a day that will be!!! So sorry to hear of Richards passing. I enjoyed the visits of him and brother Ray very month or so when they would have lunch in Ringgold. He will truly be missed.

Suzanne and family, I am so sorry to hear of Dicks passing. He was one of the finest men in the Candlewick family and loved by all who knew him. Dick was admired by all of us and by all of our customers and suppliers. He was an institution in our industry and his contributions were admired by all. He was a great reason for our success over a long span of years. Dick was truly a pleasure to work with and a friend to all.

Always remember the first time we met at church. We introduced ourselves and were amazed
how similar our names were. I haven't seen Richard in awhile but always remember how genuine he was and what a sense of humor he had. I wish I could have known him better.

Our hearts are so sad and aching over the passing from this earth of our friend and brother, Dick Elrod. He was a loving Christian friend.
