Rev. Robert L. Humphreys

Reverend Robert L. Humphreys, 85 of Ringgold, went home to be with the Lord Monday, July 15, 2019. He was born on May 18, 1934 in Bellefontaine, Ohio to the late Clifford and Mildred Stevens Humphreys. He was a member of the Calvary Independent Baptist Church. Bob was a graduate of Cedarville College in Cedarville, Ohio. He served in the Naval Reserves. He had pastored several churches; New Richland Baptist Church, Heather Hills Baptist Church, Emmanuel Baptist Church, and Edgewood Baptist Church. Bob was a representative with two Jewish Missions; Friends of Israel and International Board of Jewish Missions.

Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years Carolyn Humphreys; daughter, Dawn (Tim) Hardin; brother Paul (Cathy) Humphreys of Florida; 3 grandchildren, Ashley (Andrew) Brownell, Seth Hickman and fiancé Kaylie Wingo, and Jonathan Hickman; one great-granddaughter, Emma Kate Brownell; several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Friday from 4-8 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.

Family will receive friends Saturday at 1 PM with funeral services following at 2 PM at Calvary Independent Baptist Church with Bro. Jamie Colbert officiating. Interment will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
