Tribute

Rebecca R. Goldsmith, 80, of Ringgold went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 24, 2020. She has lived in the North Georgia area for more than 58 years and was a member of Calvary Memorial Baptist Church. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved the Lord and her church family. She loved spending time with her family and watching the kids play sports.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Willie T. Goldsmith, Jr.; daughter, Lisa Goldsmith; father, Richard G. Yerk; mother, Dorothy Langley; step-father, Maurice Langley; brothers, Skip Rewolt and Richard K. Yerk; and sister, Dixie Mae Yerk.

Survivors include her sons, Billy (Vicky) Goldsmith, Richee (Paula) Goldsmith and Curtis (Tiffany) Goldsmith; daughter, Pandora (Jim) McDevitt; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Eric Greeson officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
