Ray Wright

Ray Wright, 72, of Fort Oglethorpe, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 8, 2020. Ray was a member of Temple Baptist Church and attended Parkway Baptist Church. He loved to help his friends and neighbors by being a Jack-Of-All-Trades. Ray loved his grandchildren, and enjoyed fishing and spending time on the water.

He was born in Fort Payne Alabama on July 28, 1947 a son of the late Rev. Honest and Ruthie Boyd Wright.  Ray was retired from Burner Systems after 17 years of service.

Survivors are his loving wife of 53 years, Joyce Wright, son Jeff Wright of Rossville, daughter Stacy (Randy) Darby of Ringgold, sister Nell Harrison of Murfreesboro, TN, grandchildren Katy Wight, Kerrianne Darby and Wayne Darby.

Funeral services will 11:00 am Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. David Sampson and Rev. Randy Lynn officiating. 

Interment in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, Battlefield Parkway
