Randy Christian Potts, 50, of Dalton went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 18, 2021. He was born on April 13, 1970 to the late J. Robert and Barbara Jean Potts Cobble. He was a life-long resident of the North Georgia/Chattanooga area; he grew up attending Rock Spring UMC and was currently a member of Rock Bridge Community Church. Randy was employed at PepsiCo for the past 3 years after working at Coca-Cola for the previous 28 years. He was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves and ABAC baseball. He enjoyed coaching both of his sons in baseball, was an avid deer hunter and loved spending time outdoors.
Randy was known for his contagious smile and witty sense of humor. He made an impact on everyone he came across and never met a stranger. His fun loving spirit will endure for years to come. His family will always cherish the memories and will continue his legacy.
Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Cynthia Potts; sons, Brandon (Kelsi) Potts and Brett Potts; sisters, Deborah (Jerry) Moore and Renee (Kelly) Hill; brother, Rodney (Shelly) Potts; nieces and nephews, Josh (Megan) Moore, Abby (Nathan) Nerswick, Noah Hill, Jessica and Justin Potts; along with his two black Labradors, Hank and Ellie Mae.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday at Rock Spring United Methodist Church with Barry Brock officiating. Interment will follow in the Hill City Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hill City Baptist Church, Rock Spring UMC or Rock Bridge Community Church.
