Tribute

Orville Lee Shupe, 81, of Rossville, went home to be with the Lord Friday, March 27, 2020.  Orville was born in Brookfield, MO, to the late Norton and Mary Shupe on August 7, 1938.  He was a resident of Chattanooga, North Georgia community for over 40 years and worked in the insurance profession for over 40 years.  Mr. Shupe was an active member of Chattanooga 1st Seventh Day Adventist Church where he led the choir for many years.  Orville enjoyed sharing time with his family, sailing, traveling, camping, and taking walks along the beach.  He is preceded in death by his brother Jerome Shupe and sister, Juanita Goldman.

Survivors are Orville’s wife of 37 years, Carol Shupe; sons, Dan (Julie) Shupe, Ooltewah, Shane Shupe, Chattanooga; daughter, Dawn (Allan) Valenzuela, Chattanooga; step-sons, Chris (Jordan) Cramer, Collegedale, Jeffrey (Rachael) Cramer, Harrison; step-daughter, Lori (Steve) Akins, Ringgold; 22 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held to honor the life of Orville at Collegedale Memorial Park with Pastor Dwight Herod officiating.  A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a later date.
