Opal Medlock Gann

Opal Medlock Gann, 91, of Chickamauga went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at her home. She was born in Fyffe, Alabama on December 20, 1929 to the late Walter Medlock and Lillie Flemings. She had lived in the North Georgia area for the past 60 years and was a member at the House of Prayer in Chickamauga. Mrs. Gann worked at Standard Coosa Thatcher which became American Thread where she was an inspector. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning and mowing the lawn where she could be heard singing while she mowed.
 
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Pete Gann; son, Danny Gann; two brothers and a sister.
 
Survivors include her children, Terry (Vickie) Gann, Jimmy (Brenda) Gann and Ramona (James) Ellis; grandchildren, Lavon Gann, Debra Gann, Chris Gann, Dale Gann, Angie Wimpee, Jennifer Ellis, Heather Lore, Kimberly Ellis, Daniel Gann, Jeremy Gann and Nathan Gann; along with 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
 
Graveside services will be held 1 PM Thursday at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South with Daniel Gann and Ronnie Goins officiating.
