Nora Faye (Hixson) Hager

Nora Hixson Hager, 96, of Flintstone went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at her home. She was a life-long resident of Walker County and a member at Simpson United Methodist Church for the past 35 years where she was a member of the Golden Age Group. Mrs. Hager was a past member of UMW and was one of the last surviving Hixson’s from Chattanooga Valley. She was a wonderful seamstress, enjoyed making coconut crème pies and peach cobblers for her family. Mrs. Hager loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was faithful to her church and family.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Floyd Hager, Jr.; parents, Charles Rufus and Laura Cameron Hixson; seven brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include her son, Joe (Jan) Hager; daughters, Wanda (John) Vittiglio and Brenda (Richard) Moulton; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; three cousins and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 3 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Debra Dickerson officiating. Interment be will 11 AM Monday in Forest Hills Cemetery.
