Nola Lorine Beaty Lawson, 89, passed away at her home in Rossville, GA.
Nola was born on February 28, 1930 in Armathwaite, TN to Virgil and Bertha Beaty. She moved to Chattanooga at 17 years old to work for Brock Candy Company where she met her husband of 34 years, Lynell Lawson. They built their life and raised their family in Rossville, GA. She was known and will be remembered for her delicious home cooking and being gifted working with her hands. She loved to crochet, embroider and was an accomplished seamstress. She continued using that gift finishing her last quilt top at the age of 89. Her hobbies included collecting dolls and making clothing for them by hand, and decorating every room of her home for Christmas. Nola was a born again believer and faithful member of Memorial Baptist Tabernacle until she was physically unable to attend.
Nola was beloved by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and will be sorely missed.
Mrs. Lawson was preceded in death by her husband, Lynell Lawson, her parents, sisters Flonnie Smith, Flossie Smith, and Pauline Ramsey, and one brother O'Neal Beaty.
