Nealia Edith Carey

Nealia Edith Carey, 76, of Ringgold, GA, died on April 9, 2022 at Hospice of Chattanooga.  She was born to the late Golden H. and Edith Cross on March 26, 1946.

Nealia retired as a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy as a Petty Officer First Class serving around the world at various Command Centers and Security Stations.  After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading books, playing video games, and loving her cats.  She was known for her great generosity and kind accepting spirit.

Nealia was preceded in death by her husband Robert Carey.  She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Kim Eidson; loving partner Jay Eidson; siblings Ann Wilbanks, Hubert Cross, and Bobby Cross; step-children Rob Carey, Stephanie Carey-Chandler, and Dennis Carey.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 2pm. 

Flowers will be accepted or Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 -12:30 PM on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
