Mona Lee (Satterfield) ONeal

Mona Lee ONeal, 86, of North Georgia passed peacefully from this life into the loving arms of her Lord on Sunday, November 28, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was a life-long resident of the Chattanooga/North Georgia area and was a member of Bayside Baptist Church. Mona was a treasured member of the Shepherds Sunday School class and the Women's Bible Study at Sixes United Methodist Church.  Mona enjoyed painting, reading, gardening, cheering on the Tennessee Vols and loved to spend time with her family. Ms. ONeal retired at the age of 78.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew (Red) and Nola Belle Satterfield; sister, June Vandergriff and brother, Gene Satterfield.
 
Survivors include her children, Thomas Lee (Jennifer) Colston, Jr., Beth Moore (Daisy Brady), Brian (Tammy) Thomason; grandchildren, Brooke (Jeff) Oxner, Brad (Rachel) Colston, Beau Brady, Nichole Stookey, Jennifer Medford, Dustin (Stephanie) Thomason, J. Thomas (Skyla) Colston, Cody Thomason and Jessica (Kyle) Sheeler; along with many great-grandchildren, Landon, Presley, Owen, Olivia, Daisy, Erie, Madison, Travis, Callie, Avery, Christian, Ian, Jackson, Lilly, Penelope, and  all the future great grandchildren she will watch over from Heaven, and her nieces, Sharon (Jim) Galpin and Nancy (Butch) Poole, great niece Jaymi (Eric) Stewart.
 
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Grady Cooper officiating. A private family burial will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association, Parkinson’s Foundation, and The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
