Milton “Shane” Otis Honeycutt, 93, of Ringgold, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2019. Milton was born November 28, 1926 in Bessemer, AL, to the late Walter and Beulah Mae Honeycutt. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy and a charter member at Parkway Baptist. Milton retired as the appliance service and building maintenance manager from the Electric Power Board after 41 years. He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Anna Bell Honeycutt. He was the last surviving member of his family's generation of seven brothers and two sisters.
Survivors are his sons, Larry (Leesa) Honeycutt, Fort Oglethorpe, Jerry (Sue) Honeycutt, Chattanooga, and a son from a previous marriage, Donald (Barbara) Buttner, 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday, December 31, at Parkway Baptist with Dr. David Sampson officiating. The body will lie-in-state an hour prior to the service on Tuesday at Parkway Baptist. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors provided by the U.S. Navy.
