Mildred Louise Brown

Mildred Louise White Brown, 95, of Ringgold, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2019.  She was born October 28, 1923, in Tunnel Hill, GA, to the late David and Ida White.  Mildred was a lifelong resident of the north Georgia community and was a member of Cherokee Valley Baptist Church.  She enjoyed quilting, cooking, and gardening.  Mildred is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Harrison Brown, brothers, Joseph and Kenneth White, and sister, Pauline Bridges.

Survivors are her daughter, Linda (Ricky) Young, of Cleveland, Shirley (Charles) Tankersley, of Ringgold, brother, Melville White, and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be Monday, 11 AM, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Dennis Self officiating.  Interment will be in the Old Stone Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or a charity of your choice.

The family will receive friends Sunday, 4-8 PM, and Monday, 1 hour before the service, at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
