Michael Edwin Long, 72, of Chattanooga passed away peacefully January 4, 2020. He was born on May 29, 1947 in Chattanooga, TN. Michael served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Vietnam. He worked as the Chief Financial Officer for Valley Machine & Welding Co. The only thing that Michael loved more than traveling was spending time with his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Ethel Born Long; sisters, Ginger and Jill Long; granddaughter, Jade Hennessee.
Survivors include his daughters, Michelle (Jeff) Ingram and Tara (Philip) Hennessee; son, Scott Long; grandchildren, Blake (Blake) Elsea, Drew (Patrick) Todaro, Michael and Parker Ingram, Kailey and Abel Hennessee; great-grandchildren, Piper Todaro, Samuel and Isaac Elsea.

Entombment will be 2PM Wednesday at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Fort Oglethorpe.
