Michael S. Cannon

Michael S. Cannon, 69, of Fort Oglethorpe passed away Thursday, July 4, 2019 at a local hospital. He was a native of Johnson City, TN where he was born April 2, 1950 to the late Ralph and Virginia Triplett Cannon. Michael retired from the United States Army after 22 years of service and from the state of Georgia as an environmentalist with 34 years of service. He was an avid hunter who loved the outdoors. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years Elaine Cannon; son, Matt (Laurel) Cannon of Chicago, IL; daughter, Kristen (C.J.) Cordell of Fort Oglethorpe, GA; sister, Rebekah Massey of Sevierville, TN; niece, Robin (Keith) McGregor of Sevierville, TN; grandchildren, Kylie and Brielle Pittman of Fort Oglethorpe, GA.
