Mazell Murdock

Mazell (Wright) Murdock, age 91, passed away to her heavenly home August 29, 2021.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Murdock; parents, Wayne and Ethel (Corbin) Wright; mother and father in law, Mat and Charlie Murdock; grandparents, John William (Tavy) Wright, Floyd and Lizzie (Roden) Corbin; brother in law, Hubert Murdock.
 
Survivors are a son, Rickey (Sue) Murdock; daughter, Kathy (Jerry) Harris; four grandchildren, Rickey Jr. (Daphne) Murdock, Shelley (Michael) Green, Shane Harris, and Jeff (Katrina) Black; one sister, Judy (Roy) Browder; great grandchildren, Dalton, Brady, Zach, Zane, Stone, Hudson and Garret; great-great grandson, Eli; sister in law, Shirley Murdock; several nieces and nephews.
 
She retired from SCT in Rossville after 34 years of service. She was a charter member of Bible Baptist Church which she dearly loved. She played the guitar until she was eighty years old, then joined the choir and loved every minute of it. Since Bible Baptist was established in 1961 Rev. Burman Cape Sr. and Rev. Rickey Gravley have been the only two pastors, and she loved them and their family’s dearly.
 
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Wednesday in the funeral chapel with Rev. Rickey Gravley officiating. Interment to follow at Unity Cemetery in Sylvania, AL.
