Maudie Kathleen Cawood

Maudie Kathleen Cawood, 87, of Ringgold went home to be with the Lord Tuesday morning, March 10, 2020. Maudie was born April 28, 1932 in Sweetwater, TN to the late William and Ethel Kile Hicks. She has been a resident of the Ringgold area for the past 62 years and member of the Woodstation UMC for the past 58 years. She retired from the Catoosa County School System after 12 years of service. She was the last surviving child of 12 children.
 
Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years Dean Cawood; children, Elaine Cawood Jordan of Marietta, Joy (Terry) Whaley of Ringgold and Phil (Connie) Cawood of Ringgold; grandchildren, Nathan, Bennett and Kam Jordan, Mary Anne Riddle, Will Whaley, Aaron Cawood, and Emily Edens; great-grandchildren, Bella Denzel, Sarah Kathleen Jordan, Hudson Whaley and Magnolia Riddle; several nieces and nephews also survive.
 
Funeral services will be 2 PM, Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Autry and Rev. Randall Massengill officiating. Interment to follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
