Martha June Key

Martha June Key, 85, of Ringgold went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at her home. She was born on June 21, 1937 in Ringgold, Georgia to the late Glen and Sarah Marguerite Key. She was a member at First Baptist Church Ringgold. Ms. Key had worked in insurance claims for Provident and Cigna and had enjoyed working at Bailey’s BBQ for many years.
 
She was preceded in death by her son, Richard L. Daugherty and brothers, Raymond Key and Jim Key.
 
Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Stafford; sisters, Dorothy Daugherty of East Ridge, Anna Ellis of Marietta and Jane Bailey of Ringgold; grandchildren, Megan Stafford, Alison Stafford and Jesse Daugherty; great-grandchildren, Henry Reynolds and Danni Reynolds; along with several nieces and nephews.
 
The family would like to give a special thanks to Willowbrook Hospice and Janie Jordan Nelson for their loving care.
 
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday, September 9 at First Baptist Church of Ringgold with Pastor Eric Kennedy officiating. The body will lie-in-state one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
 
The family will receive friends 4-8 PM Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
