Marilyn Duke Drain, 85, of Chickamauga passed away peacefully Thursday, November 21, 2019. She was born March 17, 1934 in Summitville, TN. She retired from DuPont after 35 years of service. She was a devoted member of Chickamauga Church of Christ. Marilyn delivered food to the hungry, bought school clothes and winter coats for children in need. She had a heart of gold and would give to anyone in need whether it be utility bills, car tires, new blankets to the homeless or volunteer at her local church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Houston and Mollie Lucinda Duke; brother, Lyndell Edward Duke.
Survivors include son, Danny Fraley Jr; daughter, Cindy Johnson; grandchildren, James (Heidi) Fraley III, Dana (Sean) Vandergriff; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Jane (Jim) Stephens and Bettie Allen; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 7 PM at Chickamauga Church of Christ with Minister Robert Foster and Minister Ken McCurdy officiating. Interment will be at Chickamauga Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
