Margaret French McPherson of Chattanooga passed to her eternal life in Heaven on Thursday, May 24. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her through her recent health issues and ultimately gave her peace and great joy. Margaret was born in 1955 to June and Nelson French of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. There she was immersed in a Christian church, family and community that would be her lifelong support from an early age. She was a dedicated and active member of First Church Fort O for many years where she and her family have been nurtured and loved by the pastor and congregation. Margaret could be found, on any given day, at her kitchen table reading and studying her Bible. Her fine Christian example was the greatest gift she could have possibly imparted to those who loved her.
She was vivacious, smart, kind and loving. She enjoyed her role as a grandmother and often took care of her grandchildren.
She will be so missed until we meet again.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney McPherson.
Survivors include her daughters, Tisha (William) Mollett and Laura Burke; grandchildren, Kaleigh (Cody) Rind, Ally Burke, Hunter Burke and Will Mollett; sisters, Leslie Heath, Susan French Cone, Kate (Joe) Teringer; brothers, Thomas French and Adam French; many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Tuesday at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Luke Camlic officiating. Entombment will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
