Luke Daniels

William Luke Daniels, 69, of LaFayette went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. He was born on August 7, 1952 in Eastman, Georgia. Luke was retired from Vulcan Materials. He was a member of First Baptist Church Fort Oglethorpe and the Koinonia Sunday School Class. He was active with the Men’s Ministries, Sons of Thunder and Deacons from the church. He loved his family and friends, fishing and riding his bike. He was a one of a kind person and will be missed by many. You couldn’t help but love him, he had a way to make you feel that you knew him forever.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth T. Daniels; brother, Kenny (Frog) Daniels and sister, Judy Daniels Wint; wife, Susan Armstrong Daniels; step-son, John Armstrong; and grandson, Gavin Gardner

Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Linda Davis Daniels; mother, Louise E. Daniels Crane; brother, Wayne (Cindy) Daniels; children, Justin (Tracie) Nave, Kathy (Doug) Nave Stier; Kim Armstrong, Jennifer Jones Armstrong; grandchildren, Maddie Stier (John) Fogg, Gracie Stier, Will Stier, Sadie Jo Nave, Davey Armstrong, Kara Armstrong and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Tuesday at First Baptist Church Fort Oglethorpe with  Pastor Jason Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Constructors for Christ or First Baptist Church Fort Oglethorpe.
