Winston Lowell Sharp, 80, Ringgold went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, January 17, 2021. He has ended his battle with the devastating effects of dementia. Lowell was born July 8, 1940 to the late Rev. Sam D. Sharp and Mary Evans Sharp. He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia/ Chattanooga area and a member of Shields Baptist Church. He proudly served 6 years in the United States National Guard and Reserve of the U.S. Air Force. Lowell was the owner and operator of Valley Electric from 1972 to 1991 before he went to work at Dupont in Chattanooga. He retired as plant engineer from Shaw Industries in Trenton. Lowell loved hunting, camping, hiking and everything to do with the outdoors.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Rosemary Senter and brother, John C. “Buddy” Sharp.
Survivors include his loving wife Madeleine Sharp; sons, Donnie (Lisa) and Ronnie (Deanna) Sharp; daughters, Paula (Candace) Sharp, Shelley (Danny) Fow and Tara (Ken) Wolfe; sisters, Betty (Roger) O’Haver and Patricia Lowrance; sister in law, Jo Sharp; 16 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and beloved dog, Zoey.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Tony Vona and Reverend Bill Proctor officiating. Interment to follow at Dailey Hills Cemetery.
