Linda P. Thrower, 83, of Rossville went home to be with the Lord Friday July 29, 2022. She will be missed deeply. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia Area. Linda was raised by her granny after her mother passed when she was nine. She was raised in the church and raised her children to love the Lord. The family was a member at Westside Baptist Church.
Linda was a 1957 graduate of Central High and then married her loving husband Leonard Thrower in 1958. After their marriage, they moved to Chicago for six years where she worked for Kraft Foods.
Soon after moving back to Rossville they bought the family home where she lived the rest of her life.
She was a loving mom who always put her three children first and loved her four grandchildren dearly.
Linda had worked at Hutcheson Memorial Credit Union for more than 20 years and she had worked at East Ridge Dialysis Clinic until her early 70s, to spend time with her grandchildren who she loved so much.
She loved animals and had taken care of many stray cats.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Margie Parker; sister, Ruth Parker.
Survivors include her son, Stephen (Annette) Thrower; daughters, Katrina (Bobby) Baker and Debbie (Todd) Armour; grandchildren, Jonathan Thrower, Trent Armour, Jaden Armour and Katie Baker.
Funeral services will be conducted 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral chapel. Interment at Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Educational Society and McKamey Animal Center.
