Leona Catherine (Mayes) Hale

Leona Catherine Mayes Hale, 87, of Rock Spring, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 9, 2020. She was a lifelong resident of Chickamauga and a member of Chickamauga Church of Christ. Leona loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Burk Elder Hale, Jr., son Burk Elder Hale III, daughter Pamela Denise Hale, parents Leonard Monroe Mayes Sr. and Anna Catherine Mayes, and sister Leveta Wright.

She is survived by her brother Leonard M. “Sonny” (Marie) Mayes, Jr. of Chickamauga, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be held 11 AM Friday at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South with Minister David Paden officiating.
