Larry Price Andrews, 78, passed away August 8, 2020. He was born August 29, 1941.
He graduated from Lafayette High School and University of Georgia. He worked for 38 years at Provident Life and Accident Insurance Company and Cigna Insurance Company. His insurance career was interrupted when he was drafted in 1966, spending 13 months in South Korea and the rest of his 2-year commitment at Ft. Still, Oklahoma. He was a member of Rock Spring United Methodist Church. After Retirement, he and his wife, Judy, enjoyed camping and traveling throughout the United States and Canada. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Doris Andrews, and brother William Raymond Andrews. He is survived by his wife, Judy Andrews, daughter, Susan Andrews, and granddaughter, Seneca Gentry. He is also survived by sister, Anne (Ed) Baron, sister in law, Barbara Andrews, nieces and nephews, Laura and Lee Kay, Ray and Nan Andrews, Lisa and Tony Brown, and Leslie and Chris Payne, and several special cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Building Fund at Rock Spring United Methodist Church.
A graveside service will be held 1:30 PM Thursday at Chattanooga National Cemetery with John Brantley officiating.
Larry’s body will lie in state at Heritage Funeral Home Battlefield Parkway Thursday from 11:00 to 1:00 for people to pay their respects.
