Kevin Scott Marcus

Kevin Scott Marcus, 59, of Ringgold passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN after a valiant lifelong fight to overcome complications from a heart defect at birth. Kevin’s will to live and love of life kept him active and working hard long after most would have quit. He was employed at Shaw Industries Plant 20 for 21 years and most recently worked 18 years at Weeks Paving in Chattanooga, TN. If you encountered Kevin on your path, he likely left an impression you did not soon forget and most likely put a smile on your face. He was an active member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church in Ringgold, GA. His service to the church spanned many years and will continue to touch lives in years to come.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Ellis Marcus; twin brother, Keith Allen Marcus; nephew, Ethan Coker and in-laws, Lebron and Joyce Bryson.

Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years, Debbie Bryson Marcus; daughter, Lauren Marcus; mother, Faye Marcus; siblings, Kenny (Pam) Marcus, Katrina (Rick) Wolfe; sister-in-law, Fay (Steve) Wood; nieces and nephews, Becky Steed, Tarah (Kenny) Gallman, Aaron (Cassi) Wood, Brandon Wolfe, Heath Marcus and Garrett Marcus; many aunt, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews also survive. Kevin leaves behind many lifelong friends.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Clyde Painter officiating. Interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
