Kenneth "Eddy" Colquette

July 2, 1956 ~ February 5, 2024 (age 67) 67 Years Old


Kenneth Edward Colquette of Rossville went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, February 5, 2024 surrounded by his family. Eddy was born July 2, 1956 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Kenneth and Mary Jo Colquette. He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and member of Victory Baptist Church where he faithfully served as choir director for more than 25 years praising the Lord through song. He retired after twenty years of service with McCallie School as Physical Plant Director. Eddy was also a reserve police officer for the city of East Ridge. He was a firearms enthusiast, loved to go fishing, and was a precious “Grumpy” to his granddaughters and so many others.  

Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Linda Colquette; children, Michelle (Scott) Allmond, Melissa (Jon) Alverson, and Michael (Misti) Colquette; grandchildren, Alyse (Josh) Nolan, Makenna and Mia Alverson, Lydia, Sarah Kate, and Moriah Colquette; his loyal lap dog, Max; sisters, Kay (Terry) Turner and Melia (Rick) Worley; several nieces and nephews including Yvonne Parrish and Ana Thomas whose love and encouragement meant so much. 

Funeral services will be 3:30 PM, Friday, February 9, at Victory Baptist Church, Rossville, Georgia, with Pastor Ernest Groce, Brother Jon Alverson, and Brother Josh Nolan officiating. The family will receive friends 4:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, February 8, at Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway and from 2:00-3:30 pm at Victory Baptist Church preceding the celebration service. There will be a graveside service at Lakewood Memory Garden South at 10:00 am Saturday, February 10. Pallbearers will be Michael Colquette, Scott Allmond, Jon Alverson, Josh Nolan, Kenneth Brock, Jake Nolan, Micah Fink, and Scott Butcher. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mel Honeycutt and Jay Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Victory Baptist Church’s “Camp Meeting” fund.
