Kenneth Ray Kelley, 73, of Ringgold, GA went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 13, 2020.
Kenneth was a devoted family man who cherished his family and friends. He considered himself blessed to marry the love of his life and spend 49 wonderful years with his beloved wife Dorothy.
Kenneth loved to cook, spend time with his daughters and grandsons, and plan fishing trips with grandson Chase and wonderful friends. He especially loved the camping trips he and Dorothy were able to take over the past few years.
He was a Journeyman Machinist who retired from Combustion Engineering after a 30 year career. He then retired from BWXT Nuclear Energy, Inc. after a 16 year career. Kenneth was also a member of Tompkins Masonic Lodge No. 466, Fort Oglethorpe, GA.
He was preceded in death by his father James Kelley, mother Mildred Kelley; stepmother Edith Kelley and beloved daughter Kimberly Castleberry.
Kenneth is survived by wife Dorothy; daughters Yvonne Camp, Donna Echols (Tim Wooten); grandsons Chase Camp, Alex (CiCi) Ramirez, Roy Ramirez; great grandson Danico Ramirez; brother Dennis Kelley; sister Sharon and special aunt Mary Kelley.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2020 at Heritage Funeral Home, 3239 Battlefield Pkwy., Fort Oglethorpe, GA. A private family viewing will take place at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2020. A graveside service for friends and family will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Anderson Memorial Gardens (new section), 98 Christian Rd, Ringgold, GA.
