Kay Elizabeth Bowman

Kay Elizabeth Bowman, 79, of Ringgold passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, October 16, 2019. She was born October 1, 1940 to the late Cohen Williamson and Elizabeth Ware. She was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia/ Tennessee area. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education at the University of Tennessee. She retired from Chattem Drug Co. where she worked in the accounting department. The only thing she loved more than reading, gardening and feeding the birds was spending time with her family. She was loved by all who met her and will be missed greatly.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband John Bowman.

Survivors include her son, Andrew (Ashley) Bowman of Ft. Oglethorpe; sister, Tyra (Roger) Sherrill; nieces, Wendy (David) Merriman of Shelbyville and Angie (Craig) Coombs of Ringgold; grandchildren, Dylan Thorne and Katelyn, Levi and Mason Bowman; several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 PM, Sunday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Tennessee/Georgia Memorial Park.
