Kathy Steele

Katherine Juanita Steele, 79, of Rossville went home to be with her Lord, Sunday, November 5, 2023. Kathy was born July 16, 1944 in Chatsworth, GA to the late Clifford and Beatrice Gee. She was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia Area and member of Delray Baptist Church. She worked as the office manager for Whitfield County Health Department for many years until retirement. The only thing Kathy enjoyed more than fishing, the Atlanta Braves and a good puzzle was spending time with her loving family and friends.

Kathy is preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years, Gene Steele; siblings, Gary Gee, Buddy Gee, Mary Clark and Carol Richardson.

Survivors include her children, Gina (Jim) Halenar, Darren (Daphne) Haskett, Cyndi (Tony) Brooks and Brian (Francis) Haskett; grandchildren, Ben Haskett, Meghan Godfrey, Myrrhande “Rhande” Weber, Amber Gadd and Logan Halenar; great-grandchildren, Emily Burnham, Melody Gadd and Journi Weber; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 PM, Wednesday at Delray Baptist Church with Pastor Lavonne Powell officiating. Interment at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park.
