Katherine Thompson Parham, 92, of Flintstone, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019. Katherine was born in High Point, GA and lived her life in Chattanooga Valley. She was a graduate of Chattanooga Valley High School. She was a member of the Rossville Church of Christ congregation. Katherine retired from the Walker County School system after 20+ years of service. She enjoyed working with Harvest House Ministry, at her church and participated in a local Home Makers Association. She enjoyed Atlanta Braves baseball, sewing, word searches, working puzzles and playing Yahtzee. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, H.G. and Mamie Thompson, brother David Thompson and husband Ernest W. Parham.
Survivors include daughters Patricia Morgan and husband Mike, Ringgold, GA, Kathy Raulston and husband David, Flintstone, GA, three grandchildren Justin Morgan (Cassidy), Ashley Masters (Clay), and Alisha Smith (Ray) and five great grandchildren Julia Kate Morgan, Jude Morgan, Rhys Morgan, Emerlyn Smith and Baby Smith – due in January.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Wednesday, in the funeral home chapel with Minister Jack James and Phillip Burse officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
